Terms and Conditions

By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, the Customer acknowledges that they shall not transport or store any items in SmartBox lockers, including but not limited to certain types of goods.

    The "Terms and Conditions for Customers" are shown below; please read them carefully. The customer confirms that it has read, understood, confirmed, accepted, and agreed to abide by the terms and administer this conversion each time you use the package locker service provided by the SmartBox web application.

  • The customer agrees that it is the customer’s responsibility to regularly refer to the terms and that any amendments, whether or not reviewed by the customer, will constitute the customer’s agreement and acceptance of the terms and conditions for this modification.
    • To create an account, customers must enter their name and phone number. The customer will receive an OTP code to verify their phone number. Following the completion of the information, SmartBox will provide the client access to a unique account, through which they may track and manage their transaction process.
    • Users who register for accounts on SmartBox's web application are legally responsible for all the information they provide. In any case, SmartBox maintains the right to check the data the client has submitted. SmartBox will not handle the customer’s complaint if the customer incorrectly declares the information that SmartBox required when registering.
    • With regard to SmartBox service lockers, the customer selects the right locker size based on the dimensions of the products being sent.
    • If there is an issue involving the loss of a user’s package, SmartBox will report the results to the person who requested the inspection within 48 hours after checking the camera. If the error in the package loss originates from SmartBox, the company will be responsible for the package.

      NOTE: SmartBox is only responsible for packages that are less than 50 USD.

    • SmartBox is not responsible for the content inside or for the regulations on prohibited goods to be sent/transported.
  • Responsibilities and obligations regarding the information used on the SmartBox web application:
    • When registering and using SmartBox's services through the Web- application, customers will provide complete and accurate personal information at SmartBox's request.
    • The customer agrees to SmartBox using his or her personal information, including phone number, and transferring it to SmartBox servers in order for SmartBox to provide services. Additionally, during SmartBox's provide of the Services, the Customer allows SmartBox the freedom to prepare, collect, keep, and update personal data as needed.
    • The Customer will not allow, assign, or otherwise transfer its Account to any third party. The Customer will be entirely responsible for the use of his or her Account on the SmartBox's Web-Application.
    • The client does not request the performance of services through an account that is not their own.
    • Customers shall carry out the necessary actions to accurately enter the order information in the appropriate fields and provide the sender and recipient's name, address, and phone number. Customer agrees to guarantee that all information provided in the description and details of the goods is true, correct, and comprehensive across all media. SmartBox has the right to unpack the goods and verify that the description accurately describes them if there is any reason to doubt of the goods.
  • About the goods sent in SmartBox smart locker:
    • Customers will be responsible before the law for all goods that they request from SmartBox to perform services; and are obliged to provide full legal Informations and documents when requested by SmartBox or the competent authorities.
    • The customer agrees not to use the service for illegal activities.
    • For any loss or damage to the goods caused by a competent authority, or for any damage incurred by the shipper or any third party as a result of the breach, the customer accepts full duty and responsibility.
    • The automated system on the SmartBox will notify the user to pick up the goods after 3, 6, 12, 24, 48, and 72 hours (beginning from the moment the package is successfully sent into the locker).
    • According to existing legal requirements, the customer utilizing SmartBox's services who causes damages to SmartBox, another SmartBox customer, or any third party is responsible for compensation equal to the amount of damage caused.
  • Responsibility to notify:
    • The customer must notify SmartBox at 010 505 302 hotline number or via email at hello.wearesmartbox@gmail.com if the customer loses or changes the phone number associated with the account. This will allow SmartBox to make the necessary adjustments or temporarily block the relevant transactions to assist the customer in managing their use of the service.
    • If a customer fails to notify SmartBox and a third party uses that customer's account to request to use the locker, SmartBox is not going to be responsible or settle claims.
  • Other Regulations:
    • The recipient will receive a text message notifying them that their delivery is ready to be picked up from the locker. They have 72 hours to collect it. After this period, the recipient has an additional 24 hours to either respond to the message or pick up the delivery. If there is no response or pickup within these 24 hours, SmartBox will record the delivery information and move the packages to the SmartBox office.
    • If the recipient wants to receive the package after it has been moved to the office, they must pay an additional locker fee and the delivery fee for SmartBox to deliver the package to their specified address.
